Translation ::: Text translation SERVICE DESCRIPTION I majored in English philology. I offer text translation (non-certified) in the English ⇔ Polish language pair. This has been my profession since 2003 (CV - PDF file, 67 kB). As of 2008 I am a member of the Young Translator's Club of the Association of Polish Translators and Interpreters. I work with a variety of texts: from press clippings, through financial reports and instruction manuals, to websites, etc. I translate CVs, cover letters, agreements/certificates (non-certified), business and normal correspondence, as well as subtitles, song lyrics and literature. The jobs I accept can be in virtually every form: printouts, text files, multimedia presentations, scanned images, etc. My translation experience includes texts from such fields as: media, IT, cosmetics, metallurgy, automotive industry, logistics, telecommunications, politics, law, economy, psychology, education, marketing, tourism, gastronomy, transport, banking, furniture industry, music, and movies. As I constantly try to improve my translation skills, I am also willing to work with texts from other areas. Polish texts are translated into American English by default. They may be translated into British English upon the customer's request. PRICES
The amount of text is calculated before translation on the basis of source text - as a result, I am able to inform you about the precise cost of translation soon after receiving the text.
* translation agencies excluded If a given translation job exceeds 100 standard pages, you will receive a one-time discount of 3.5% (the rate for one standard page will be USD 14.50). In the case of long-term cooperation, you will receive a FIXED discount - if the total number of standard pages in ordered translation jobs exceeds 1,000, the rate for future translations will be USD 14.50 for one standard page! INFO FOR TRANSLATION AGENCIES I would be happy to establish cooperation with Polish and international translation agencies. The terms of cooperation are negotiated individually with each agency. My advantages include availability, flexibility and a wide scope of translated texts. I translate "plain" text or I use the CAT tool Wordfast (I prefer this program, although I also know the basics of the following tools: OmegaT, Star Transit, MetaTexis, LogoPort, Passolo and IBM Translation Manager).
